About

Vancouver-based artist and textile designer Deborah Clements Packer creates expressive textiles and artwork rooted in pattern, colour and the natural world. A Central Saint Martins graduate, Deborah began her career in fashion and textile design, working across interiors, lifestyle and product design for both established and emerging brands.

Her practice draws on the landscapes and organic forms that have shaped her life, from a childhood in South Africa to her current studio on the West Coast. Abstracted botanical forms, bold stripes, vivid colour and layered washes of ink and paint come together in pieces that feel both graphic and tactile.

Deborah designs her textiles in Vancouver, where original patterns are translated into fabrics and artwork with a distinctly personal sense of colour, texture and place.
