Erwin Drive project
The Erwin Drive Project started shortly after the clients had completed an extensive renovation of their home. Their lounge already featured a striking abstract artwork that they had previously purchased, so we saw an opportunity to build an entire textile collection around it.
The goal was simple: allow the artwork to become the visual anchor of the room while creating layers of texture, colour and comfort that felt completely connected to the space.
Designing from the Artwork
Rather than selecting fabrics from an existing collection, we designed an entirely bespoke pattern inspired by the colours.
This bespoke print became the foundation of the room's styling, introducing depth, repetition and visual balance throughout the space.
Creating Layers of Comfort
A successful interior isn't only about colour—it is about creating warmth through thoughtful layering.
The bespoke Erwin check fabric was developed into a custom quilt, designed to drape over the large ottoman, bringing a layer of depth anc colour.
The decorative throw cushions feature our studio-designed Indigo Check fabric.
Bespoke Details That Complete the Room
Custom details often make the greatest difference.
The sculptural ottoman side table was finished in a bespoke blue developed specifically for this project, carefully colour-matched to work with the pattern and artwork.
Adding balance and colour blocking to the lounge, we proposed a collection of blue velvet bolster cushions together with a matching round velvet pillow. Their simple cylindrical and circular forms soften the room's geometric patterns while adding luxurious texture and an understated richness of colour.
These considered additions help create rhythm throughout the seating arrangement and contribute to the room's relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
A Cohesive Interior Story
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was seeing every bespoke element work together as a complete composition.
Beginning with a single artwork, we developed a collection of textiles and furnishings that feel entirely unique to the home. Each custom piece—from the Erwin Check quilt to the Indigo Check cushions, bespoke velvet accessories and specially coloured ottoman—was designed to support the original artwork while enriching the overall interior.
The result is a lounge that feels calm, layered and deeply personal.
