Canyon Boulevard Project

A calm and welcoming guestroom designed around a single piece of artwork. The Breadfruit Tree became the focal point of the space, inspiring every material, colour and handcrafted detail throughout the room. 

The intention was to create a guest retreat that feels warm, grounded and quietly luxurious.

The palette combines:

• Soft sandy beige neutrals
• Natural textural layers
• Deep rust-brick accents
• Grounding charcoal details
• Organic botanical elements inspired by nature

Custom Lighting

The bedside lamps were designed and handmade specifically for this project.

Features include:

• hand-sculpted papier-mâché shades
• natural rope-wrapped cords
• soft ambient lighting
• organic forms that reinforce the room's nature-inspired aesthetic

The textured materials add warmth and handcrafted character while complementing the botanical artwork.

The room features fabrics from the Outside Collection.

Key textiles include:

• Off Grid fabric used throughout the bedding
• Basalt & Sand Stripe fabric used for the bolster cushions

The graphic patterns provide a subtle contrast to the flowing botanical artwork while maintaining the calm, earthy palette.

Bespoke Furniture

Bedside tables were custom made for the project.

Details include:

• upholstered ottoman bases to match the bed headboard.
• custom-designed solid wood tops with wavey detail. 
• handcrafted by a local Vancouver craftsman.
